LADDERS (Girls/Womens) Deadline is April 30th; LADDERS (Coed) Sign-Up is LIVE!; Check out our new adult training for newbies!
The Ladders Doubles League - reverse coed style! Everyone competes at their own level – from middle-schoolers with one season of experience up to Division 1 college beach players and recent college grads.
SCHEDULE: Fridays from June 6th through July 25th (excluding July 4th). This is seven weeks of play, minus any rain-outs. Each team will play during an assigned two-hour window from 4PM to 8PM. Times can change throughout the season depending on how the team performs. Stronger teams play later.
ATTENDANCE: It is fine to miss a few weeks (with notice), since subs are permitted when a player can’t attend and teams can take a "free pass".
COST: Venmo $110/player to SNHsandvolleyball (6199). Include "Coed League" and player's name in Notes section. If Venmo is not possible, contact Len for other options. $20/player discount when siblings both play in this league.
REGISTRATION: Register below or at https://bit.ly/2025RegCo-ed. Sign up as a team of two but register individually. Preferably find your own partner from a club or school team, but if needed, I can help. You don't have to have your partner identified to sign up.
REQUIREMENTS: Middle school, high school, college player or recently grads, with at least one season of indoor, beach or grass experience. Others on an exception basis.
LADDER FORMAT: Three rungs (courts) of competition each week from 6 to 8PM (and 4 - 6PM, if sufficient demand). Each rung consists of a three to five-team pool. Each team plays three to four games each week. The top finisher in each rung moves up to the next rung the following week; the bottom team drops to the next lower rung. This occasionally involves a time-change.
PLAY FORMAT: Reverse coed format (women's net with men having to jump from behind the three-meter line and men cannot block.)
COMPETITION LEVEL: Teams in the top rung typically have current or future college indoor players. Three players have gone on to play Division 1 College Beach Volleyball! Players in the lowest pool can serve with some consistency and maintain some rallies.
