LADDERS (Girls/Womens) Deadline is April 30th; LADDERS (Coed) Sign-Up is LIVE!; Check out our new adult training for newbies!
Year #13 of The Ladders Doubles League (girls/women's version)! Everyone competes at their own level – from middle-schoolers with one season of experience up to Division 1 college indoor and beach players and young adults. Players return year after year to enjoy this league (and the Friday co-ed version).
WHO'S REGISTERED? A list of participants will be posted below once a critical mass has signed up.
SCHEDULE: Tentatively, Sundays from May 4th through June 30th with a free clinic on May 4th. This is eight weeks of league play, plus the clinic, minus any rainouts. Each team will play during an assigned two-hour window at 4PM or 6PM. Times can change throughout the season depending on how the team performs. Stronger teams play later.
ATTENDANCE: It is fine to miss two or three weeks (with notice) since subs are permitted when a player can’t attend, or a team can take a "free pass".
FREE CLINIC (tentative): Not sure if this is for you or not? Come to our free clinic (schedule TBD) and learn how to play doubles and perhaps even find a partner! The clinic will likely be led by Braden Zamore, with a long volleyball resume, including head coach of the Division 2 SNHU Women's Team, founder of Dynamo indoor club and founder of the New Hampshire Volleyball Club. No partner necessary. Bring your indoor-trained friends!
COST: Venmo $110/player to SNHsandvolleyball (6199). Include "Girls' League" and player's name in Notes section. If Venmo is not possible, contact Len for other options.
REGISTRATION: Register below or at https://bit.ly/2025RegGirls. Sign up as a team of two but register individually. Preferably find your own partner from a club or school team, but if needed, I can help. You don't have to have your partner identified to sign up.
REQUIREMENTS: Middle school, high school, college player or adults in their 20s, with at least one season of indoor, beach or grass experience. Others on an exception basis.
LADDER FORMAT: Six or more rungs (courts) of competition each week split across two or more two-hour sessions (e.g. 4PM, 6PM). Each rung consists of a three, four or five-team pool. Each team plays three to four games each week. The top finisher in each rung moves up to the next rung the following week; the bottom team drops to the next lower rung. This occasionally involves a time-change.
COMPETITION LEVEL: Teams in the top rung typically have current or future college indoor players. Three players have gone on to play Division 1 College Beach Volleyball! Players in the lowest rung can serve with some consistency and maintain some rallies.
